Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can you start?

Depending other current projects, we are typically ready to start working on your project within one week. Before beginning work, we make sure to discuss all details and both you as a client, and Oak & Stone sign a contract. While some people shy away from contracts, this is simply a way to record what exactly you expect from us, so as not to leave any room for misunderstandings.

How is payment made?

We accept most forms of payments including Checks, Cash, Credit and Debit. All payment details will be discussed before work begins. Generally, payment is expected at set milestones or other points during the project, and will be clearly outlined in the contract to avoid any misunderstandings or surprises. If needed, we are also prepared to help you understand the process of applying for home equity lines of credit if you choose to do so.

What can I expect during the project?

After first discussing your plans, we will work with you to create both a detailed contract, and a production schedule. We want to know what your goals for the project are, any concerns you might have, and agree upon the best course of action to stay within your budget. Once the project has started, we always keep you updated and involved with every step along the way. Regardless of who is doing the work, this is YOUR project and we will always keep you up-to-date.

Why should I choose Oak & Stone?

There certainly is no shortage of Flooring Companies in Charleston, SC, and construction companies are booming throughout the tri-county area. But unfortunately, many of the projects we do involve repairing and redoing work that was incorrectly done by an inexperienced contractor looking to make some fast cash. Before you select any company to do business with - whether Oak & Stone or not - remember to always look into their reviews and portfolio so you know exactly what to expect, and are positive they are capable of tackling your project.
